| Additional information |
PEPS International was a Belgian novelty manufacturer that produced a line of "fantasy euros" for the Flemish independence movement in the early 2010s, sold as souvenirs and political merchandise rather than legal tender. These pieces were never recognized by any monetary authority and exist entirely outside official coinage — a private issue cashing in on Flemish separatist sentiment at a moment when Belgian federal politics were at their most fractious, following the record-breaking 541-day government formation crisis of 2010–2011.
