Obverse description Central depiction of the Pavillon Baltard, a nineteenth-century iron-and-glass market hall, rendered in fine relief within a circular inner border. A decorative olive or laurel branch appears in the lower field beneath the building. The engraver's signature 'F. Frapin' is inscribed to the right of the central motif. The curved legend reads 'Pavillon Baltard' at left and 'Ville de Nogent-sur-Marne' at upper right, with 'MAI 1998' along the lower arc, all in Latin script.
