| Reverse description | The reverse displays a cartographic representation of the European continent rendered without internal national borders, emphasising the unity of the Eurozone, positioned to the left of centre in the field. The face value '1 EURO' is inscribed in two lines to the right of the map. The engraver's initials 'LL' for Luc Luycx appear below the map. The design, common to all Eurozone member states for the standard €1 denomination, was introduced as the second common reverse map design in 2007, replacing the earlier globe-segmented motif. |
