Obverse description Laureate and draped bust of Fernando VII facing right, rendered in high relief in the neoclassical style. A ribbon is tied at the nape of the neck, and the portrait is positioned centrally within the coin field. The circumferential legend reads FERDIN·VII·D·G·HISP·ET IND·REX, divided by the bust. The date 1814 appears in the lower exergue beneath the portrait, flanked by decorative stops. The rim is defined by a fine dentilated border.

Reverse description The crowned, quartered arms of Castile and León displayed as the royal shield of Spain, with the central escutcheon of the Bourbon dynasty, occupying the central field. The denomination numeral '1' appears to the left of the shield and the mint mark 'S' (for escudo) to the right, with the assayer initials JP below. The circumferential legend IN UTROQ FELIX AUSPICE DEO encircles the design, interrupted by the crowned shield. The rim is edged with a continuous dentilated border consistent with Lima Mint milled coinage of the period.
