Obverse description Central field displays the Royal Arms of Spain as a quartered shield, featuring the castles of Castile and lions of León in opposing quarters, with the Granada pomegranate in base and the royal escutcheon of the Bourbons at center. The shield is surmounted by a crown and flanked by the assayer initial and mint mark. A partial Latin legend encircles the design, with the date partially visible along the periphery on this cob-style (macuquina) flan.
