Obverse description Red, violet and multicolour note with an allegorical seated female figure at left holding an open book, accompanied by the Republican Coat of Arms at upper centre. The design incorporates fine guilloche underprint patterns throughout the note field. Issuer name and denomination appear in bold letterpress typography.

Reverse description Printed in brown, the reverse is dominated by an intaglio vignette of a classically draped allegorical female figure seated at right, holding a lyre, rendered in fine engraved detail against a lightly ornamented background. The denomination cartouche appears at lower centre within an elaborate scrollwork frame, with the issuer's name arched above in bold letterpress. The left portion of the note carries a blank reserve field framed by fine guilloche borders.
