Reverse description A crowned coat of arms of the Spanish Habsburgs as Counts of Burgundy, centrally placed upon a saltire cross of Saint Andrew (Burgundian cross), whose four arms extend to divide the surrounding Latin legend into four sections. The date is split by the coat of arms or appears within the legend, bisected by the cross. The peripheral legend reads ARCHID• AVST• DVX• ET• COM• BVRG• Zc, affirming Philip IV's titles as Archduke of Austria, Duke and Count of Burgundy. The overall composition is characteristic of the Spanish Netherlands hammered series issued at the Dôle mint.
