Reverse description The reverse features the quartered royal arms of Spain within an ornate baroque shield, displaying the castles of Castile and the lions of León in alternating quarters, with the pomegranate of Granada in base and the combined arms of the Habsburg dominions. The date is split across the field flanking the shield, reading 16 to the left and 32 to the right. A continuous Latin legend encircles the design within a beaded border, recording Philip IV's titles as Archduke of Austria and Duke of Burgundy and Luxembourg.
