| Obverse description | Laureate and draped bust of Louis XV facing left, with the base of the truncation lightly draped; the engravers' names are incised along the neck truncation. The portrait, executed in the refined court style of the late Ancien Régime, presents the king with a pronounced laurel wreath resting over his powdered coiffure. The circumferential legend runs in Latin capitals along the coin's periphery, separated by lozenge stops. |
