Obverse description Draped bust of Louis XV facing left, wearing a diadem with a fillet binding the long flowing hair, rendered in the classicizing style characteristic of Joseph-Charles Röettiers. The engraver's initials J.C.R. appear on the truncation of the neck. A circular legend in Latin characters surrounds the effigy, commencing at approximately the seven o'clock position. The portrait is finely detailed, reflecting the high-relief medallic artistry of the French royal mint in the mid-eighteenth century.

Reverse description Central design features the royal arms of France: three fleurs-de-lis arranged within a rounded shield, surmounted by the royal crown. The shield is flanked symmetrically by two olive branches, symbolizing peace. The engraver's mark appears in the field before the date, and the mint letter is positioned in the exergue at the bottom of the coin. The reverse legend in Latin encircles the entire composition.
