| Obverse description | Armored and draped bust of Francis of Bourbon, Prince of Conti, facing right, with curled hair and a ruff collar rendered in fine relief. The effigy occupies the central field, enclosed within a plain inner circle bordered by a beaded ring. The peripheral legend, in Latin, reads FR • BOVRBONIVS • LVD • MARGARETA • A LOTHARIN, identifying Francis of Bourbon and Louise Marguerite of Lorraine as joint rulers.
