Obverse description Central shield bearing a rampant lion, crowned at top, with the denomination expressed as a fraction '5 1/16 G.' flanking the shield on left and right within the field. The crowned arms of the States General are rendered in a heraldic style typical of early nineteenth-century Dutch colonial coinage, with double-lined shield borders on the KM#282.1 variety. The entire design is contained within a beaded or plain border.
