Obverse description Crowned quartered shield bearing the Gelderland arms at center, encircled by a laurel wreath. The date 1633 appears below the shield, divided on either side by the lower portion of the wreath. The composition is rendered in a bold, low-relief hammered style typical of early seventeenth-century Netherlandish municipal coinage.
