Reverse description The reverse features the large interlaced VOC monogram of the Vereenigde Oost-Indische Compagnie prominently displayed in the central field, with the letters V, O, and C conjoined in the characteristic cipher of the Company. Above the monogram, two pellets flank a central rosette or six-petalled flower ornament. The date is inscribed in arabic numerals below the monogram in the lower field. A fine dentilated border frames the entire reverse design.
