Obverse description The obverse displays the quartered arms of West Friesland within a shield occupying the central field, divided into three sections by diagonal lines: the upper-left quarter bears horizontal stripes, the upper-right quarter features a rampant lion, and the lower section presents a smaller heraldic shield charged with three horizontal wavy bars. The entire composition is enclosed within a beaded border. The Latin legend WEST FRISIA appears along the periphery, flanked to either side, with the date 1660 prominently placed in the upper field above the arms.
