Obverse description Within a wreath-like cartouche formed by stylized foliate and irregular decorative elements, the city name CAMPEN is rendered in bold capital letters across two lines, with the date below. Two pellets appear above the inscription in the upper field. The legend is incuse in a primitive, hand-engraved style characteristic of hammered municipal coinage of the mid-17th century Netherlands.

Reverse description At center, the crowned municipal arms of Kampen are depicted on a cartouche-shaped shield divided into quarters, each bearing architectural elements representing the city's heraldic device. The shield is surmounted by an ornate crown with three visible points, and the entire composition is surrounded by a border of pellets and stylized decorative elements arranged in a circular pattern around the field.
