Reverse description The crowned heraldic arms of the Seven United Provinces, supported on either side by rampant lions, occupy the central field. The date 1686 appears beneath the shield within a decorative cartouche. The composition is richly detailed, reflecting the elaborate heraldic tradition of the Dutch Republic. The peripheral legend in Latin encircles the entire design.
