Reverse description The elaborately quartered royal coat of arms of the Spanish Habsburgs, surmounted by an imperial crown and supported on the left and right by rampant lions, occupies the central field. The escutcheon incorporates the arms of Castile, León, Aragon, Sicily, Portugal, Granada, Austria, Burgundy, Brabant, Flanders, and Tyrol among others. Below the shield, the collar and pendant of the Order of the Golden Fleece is prominently displayed. The whole is enclosed within a beaded inner circle, with the circumferential Latin titular legend of the sovereign running around the outer border.
