Obverse description Armored and draped bust of Philip IV facing right, wearing a prominent pleated ruff collar and cuirass with elaborate pauldron detail, enclosed within a beaded inner circle. The effigy displays the king's characteristic features with short hair and small beard. The date is divided by a small ornamental head at the top of the inner circle, with the regnal numeral split across the upper field. The surrounding Latin legend runs continuously between the inner beaded border and the outer dotted rim.
