Obverse description Conjoined busts of Archduke Albert and Archduchess Isabella facing right, both elaborately attired with large ruffled lace collars characteristic of the early seventeenth-century Habsburg court dress. Albert wears a crown and armour, while Isabella is depicted with a jewelled bodice. The mint mark divides the date above the busts within the inner beaded circle. The encircling Latin legend reads ALBERTVS · ET · ELISABET · DEI · GRATIA, identifying the co-sovereigns by divine right.
