| Reverse description | The crowned arms of the States General of the United Provinces occupy the central field, supported on either side by crowned rampant lions. Below the shield, within an ornamental cartouche, appears the VOC monogram of the Vereenigde Oost-Indische Compagnie. The date appears in the upper portion of the field, with the Latin motto CONCORDIA RES PARVÆ CRESCUNT — meaning 'By concord small things grow' — completing the reverse legend. |
