| Obverse description | The obverse depicts Saint Mark seated facing on the left, presenting a gonfalon (banner staff) to the kneeling Doge Marino Zorzi on the right, both figures rendered in the Byzantine-influenced Gothic style characteristic of early Venetian ducats. Saint Mark is nimbed and holds the staff of the gonfalon, while the Doge, shown in ducal robes, receives it in a gesture of investiture. The legend surrounding the figures reads . MA • GEORGIO • / • S • M • VENETI, identifying both the Doge and the patron saint of Venice. The coin's field is plain, with the figures occupying the full flan in high relief. The beaded inner border frames the design. |

| Reverse description | The reverse features a full-length frontal figure of Jesus Christ standing within a mandorla (vesica piscis) formed by a beaded oval border, raising his right hand in benediction and holding the Gospels in his left hand. Six six-pointed stars are distributed within the mandorla around the figure, a hallmark decorative element of the Venetian ducat type. Christ is depicted with a cruciform nimbus and long robes, rendered in the Byzantine hieratic style. The surrounding legend reads . SIT • T • XPE • DAT` • Q • TV / REGIS • ISTE • DVCAT`, a votive inscription invoking Christ as ruler over this duchy. The outer border is beaded, consistent with the hammered coinage of the Venetian zecca. |
