| Obverse description | Full-length frontal effigy of Giacomo III Mandelli, lord of Maccagno, standing facing within a plain inner circle, attired in regal dress and holding regalia. The figure is rendered in the mannered style typical of small Italian feudal mint coinage of the early seventeenth century. The surrounding circular Latin legend reads VIRTVS VNITA FORTIOR ES, separated from the central device by the inner border. The coin's milled outer rim frames the composition. |
