| Reverse description | Central field depicts a full-length, facing figure of a medieval Czechoslovak warrior-knight rendered in an archaic Renaissance style, clad in elaborately engraved armour with a fur-trimmed surcoat and ornate belt, holding a tall lance or banner staff in his right hand and resting his left hand upon a heraldic shield. The engravers' initials — O.Š. for Otakar Španiel and B. for Benda — appear in the lower field flanking the figure. At the base of the design, the individual serial number of the coin (here reading 560) appears within a cartouche, confirming this as one of the 1,000 individually numbered pieces struck. The circumferential legend NEDEJ·ZAHYNOUTI·NÁM·I·BUDOUCÍM (meaning 'Do not let us and future ones perish') runs around the full perimeter, separated by dot stops, within a beaded border. A mintmark device appears at the bottom of the outer legend field, with the overall composition displaying the refined artistry characteristic of the Kremnica Mint. |
