| Obverse description | A full-length figure of a standing armored knight in classical Roman-style armor occupies the center of the field, facing right and holding a bundle of arrows in his right hand and a sword or lance upright in his left. The date is divided by the knight's figure, with the first two digits to the left and the last two to the right in the lower field. The circular Latin legend CONCORDIA RES PARVAE CRESCUNT runs along the periphery, reading from lower left to upper right. The design follows the traditional Dutch ducat type established in the early modern period and continued largely unchanged through successive reigns. |
