Obverse description Central device features a vertically divided heraldic shield, per pale. The dexter (left) field bears a crescent open to the left surmounted by a six-pointed star, while the sinister (right) field displays three horizontal bars in tenné on argent — heraldic elements associated with the Wallachian princely arms. A Cyrillic legend surrounds the shield, reading the name and title of Vladislav II.

Reverse description A golden eagle displayed in reguardant posture, turning its head to the right, stands upon a great helm facing left; a cross is depicted beneath the eagle's wing. A symbol or mark appears in the left field. The composition is rendered in the medieval hammered style typical of Wallachian coinage of the mid-fifteenth century. A Cyrillic peripheral legend records the name and title of the issuing prince.
