| Obverse description | Central field features a crowned shield divided per pale, with the dexter half plain and the sinister half barry of three, representing the Wallachian coat of arms. The shield is surrounded by a beaded inner circle, with a Cyrillic circular legend running along the outer rim reading the voivode's name and title. The die-work is characteristic of 14th-century Wallachian hammered coinage, with bold, somewhat irregular lettering. |
