Obverse description Central field displays a shield divided per pale: the dexter half bearing two horizontal bars (tenné) on argent, and the sinister half charged with a crescent. A Greek cross is positioned above the shield. The Cyrillic legend encircles the design, reading the ruler's titles and name.

Reverse description A golden eagle displayed reguardant to the left, rendered in profile with wings spread, stands upon a great helm oriented to the left. A cross is depicted beneath the eagle's wing. To the left of the design appears a symbol surmounted by a cross, with a rosette positioned above. A Cyrillic inscription encircles the design in the border.
