Reverse description The reverse depicts a seated armored warrior figure — evocative of a medieval Bohemian knight or allegorical guardian — shown in three-quarter view at center, holding a long lance or spear in the right hand and resting upon a shield at the left. The figure is enclosed within an oval or arched inner border. A beaded outer border runs along the rim, and the circular Latin legend NEDEJ·ZAHYNOUTI·NÁM·I·BUDOUCÍM arcs around the periphery, reading 'Do not let us and future ones perish.' The design reflects the monumental allegorical style associated with the engravers Jaroslav Benda and Otakar Španiel.
