Obverse description Draped bust of Archbishop Sigismund von Schrattenbach facing right, wearing a biretta and clerical vestments with a pectoral cross visible at the chest. The effigy is rendered in high relief with finely engraved hair and drapery detail. A circular Latin legend surrounds the portrait, reading from the lower left. The rim is decorated with a consistent beaded border.

Reverse description The elaborately rendered coat of arms of the Archbishopric of Salzburg displayed on a heraldic shield, surmounted by an archiepiscopal hat with pendant tassels on both sides and topped by an ornate princely crown. The quartered shield incorporates the arms of Salzburg and the personal arms of the Schrattenbach family. The divided date appears in the exergue below the shield, with numerals flanking the central design. A finely beaded border frames the entire reverse.
