| Additional information |
The Counts of Sinzendorf were an Austrian noble family whose minting rights in the Holy Roman Empire allowed them to produce gold ducats of near-pure fineness under imperial standards. Philip Ludwig von Sinzendorf served as Imperial Vice-Chancellor and was among the most influential figures at the Habsburg court in the early eighteenth century — a position that likely facilitated continued minting privileges for a county of otherwise modest territorial significance.
Fresnoy 3290 is a rare type; Sinzendorf county issues appear infrequently at auction and seldom in consistent grades.
