Obverse description Interlaced crowned cipher 'AB' (for Charles Albert and his bride) in elaborate monogram form, centrally positioned in the field beneath a royal crown. The monogram is rendered in an ornate baroque style with scrollwork flourishes. The encircling legend reads 'AB FELIX CONIUNCTIO' in Latin capitals, distributed around the periphery of the coin.
