Obverse description Flat-topped ornate shield bearing a four-fold coat of arms of Wrocław: first quarter, the Bohemian lion; second and third quarters, the Silesian eagle; fourth quarter, the letter W for the city, with at center the head of John the Baptist on a platter and above the bust of John the Evangelist. The shield is contained within an inner circle, with a four-digit date incorporated at the end of the encircling Latin legend.
