| Reverse description | Full-length frontal figure of Saint John the Baptist, nimbed and draped in a loose mantle, standing on a decorative base. The saint holds the Agnus Dei (Lamb of God) on a book or platter in his left arm while gesturing with his right hand, rendered in the refined hammered relief style typical of late sixteenth-century Silesian goldsmithing. A beaded inner circle frames the central figure. The circumscribed Latin legend MVNVS CESAR MAXIMILIANI, referencing the imperial privilege granted by Emperor Maximilian, encircles the design, punctuated by floral or cross stops. |
