| Obverse description | Crowned and armored full-length figure of Archduke Leopold V standing facing, holding a scepter in his right hand and an orb in his left, set within a beaded inner circle. The figure is rendered in the Gothic-influenced style characteristic of early seventeenth-century Austrian Habsburg coinage. The surrounding circular legend reads DIVVS LEOPOLDVS, distributed around the periphery of the field. The coin was struck by the hammered method, resulting in a slightly irregular flan typical of the period. |

| Reverse description | Quartered Habsburg coat of arms displayed on a heraldic shield at center, incorporating the arms of Austria, Burgundy, and other dynastic territories, set within a beaded inner circle. The shield is rendered in the detailed engraving style characteristic of Habsburg Alsatian coinage of the early seventeenth century. The circular legend LEOPOLDVS D G ARCHIDVX surrounds the shield, reading around the full periphery of the coin. The lettering is separated by small ornamental stops and the legend continues around the field in Latin script. |
