Obverse description Central field occupied by the elaborately rendered quartered arms of the Archbishopric of Salzburg within a baroque cartouche, surmounted by a processional cross and a galero with pendant tassels on either side. Two ecclesiastical supporters flank the shield, which bears the traditional Salzburg heraldic devices. The circumferential Latin legend runs along the milled border, reading the archbishop's title and abbreviated styling. The overall composition is executed in the high baroque manner characteristic of Salzburg coinage of this period.
