| Obverse description | Right-facing draped bust of Count Károly Batthyány in military dress, depicting the subject in an elaborate uniform adorned with decorative lace or order insignia at the chest. The portrait is rendered in high relief in a refined baroque style. A circular Latin legend surrounds the bust near the coin's milled border, reading CAROL:S:R:I:P:DE•BATTHYAN:A:U:E:G:C:M:, identifying the issuer by title and family name.
