Obverse description Laureate and draped bust of Emperor Joseph II facing right, rendered in high relief with finely detailed hair dressed with a laurel wreath and a ribbon bow at the nape. The truncation of the bust is adorned with drapery. The circular Latin legend surrounds the effigy, reading GER·IER·REX IOS·II·D:G·R·I·S·A·, denoting his imperial and royal titles. The mint mark E appears in the lower field below the bust truncation.
