Reverse description The reverse displays a large, elaborately quartered heraldic achievement of John George of Brandenburg-Jägerndorf, incorporating the arms of Brandenburg (an eagle), Jägerndorf, and associated territories, supported by ornate baroque mantling on either side. The shield is surmounted by a princely crown. The date 1620 is divided by the shield, with '16' to the left and '20' to the right, rendered in large numerals within the field. The overall composition is characteristic of the high-relief hammered ducats issued in the German-speaking lands during the early Thirty Years' War period.
