Obverse description Full-length effigy of Duke Johann Albrecht II in armour, standing facing, head turned three-quarters to right, right hand resting on hip and left hand holding an orb at his side, a sword visible at his left. The figure is set within an inner beaded circle, with a Latin legend running around the periphery between the beaded and outer borders.

Reverse description Elaborately helmeted and mantled coat of arms of the Duchy of Mecklenburg-Güstrow, the quartered shield displaying the characteristic Mecklenburg bull's head and other dynastic charges, surmounted by multiple crested helms with ornate lambrequins. The date AO 1633 appears to the left of the shield, a mint mark to the right, and a Latin motto legend surrounds the composition within a beaded border.
