| Obverse description | Quartered heraldic shield occupying the central field, displaying the arms of the Archbishopric of Salzburg alongside the personal arms of Archbishop Johann Jakob Khuen von Belasi, surmounted by an archiepiscopal mitre and crossed pastoral staff and sword. The shield is elaborately rendered in the hammered style characteristic of mid-sixteenth-century South German coinage.
