| Obverse description | Central field displays the crowned arms of Sibiu (Nagyszeben), consisting of two crossed swords beneath a crown, with the municipal eagle below, all within a double linear circle. The surrounding legend reads SOLI DEO GLORIA, affirming the Reformed motto of the city, accompanied by the date 1605 and the civic inscription CIVITATIS SIBEN, struck in bold hammered relief characteristic of Transylvanian gold coinage of the period. |
