| Obverse description | Elaborate baroque coat of arms of the Bishopric of Bamberg occupying the central field, quartered and displaying the traditional heraldic devices of the see, surmounted by a princely crown with a cross above. The shield is supported by two ornate cartouches with foliate mantling, and flanked by elaborate Baroque strapwork. The Latin legend GRATVLATVRVS EX CORDE curves along the lower portion of the coin within a milled border. |
