Obverse description The quartered arms of the Archbishopric of Salzburg displayed within an oval baroque shield, surmounted by a processional cross and flanked on either side by a crozier and a sword. Above the shield, the broad-brimmed ecclesiastical hat (galero) with pendant tassels is depicted, symbolising the archbishop's legatine dignity. A circular Latin legend runs along the outer border of the coin.
