| Obverse description | Full-length crowned effigy of Emperor Ferdinand I facing right, depicted in full armor without beard, holding a scepter in his right hand and an orb in his left. The figure stands in a commanding pose with articulated plate armor visible from helm to sabatons. The legend MON AVRE / F / E / RDINAND is distributed around the field, flanking the imperial figure. The coin exhibits the characteristic irregular flan and bold relief typical of early sixteenth-century hammered Habsburg gold coinage. A beaded border frames the composition. |
