Obverse description Draped bust of George I (George Louis) facing right, wearing a long flowing wig with elaborate curls falling over the shoulders, rendered in high relief in the Baroque court style. The truncation is visible at the lower portion of the field, with a small mintmark letter 'B' positioned in the exergue below the bust. A peripheral circular legend in Latin surrounds the effigy, reading GEORG D G M BRIT F ET H REX F D, with AUR HERC continuing in the lower field beneath the bust.
