| Obverse description | Three-quarter-length armored effigy of Gábor Bethlen facing right, wearing elaborately decorated plate armor with a ruffled collar and a fur-trimmed cloak over one shoulder, holding a scepter in his right hand. The date 1622 is divided by the figure, with 16 to the left and 22 to the right. A circular Latin legend surrounds the portrait within a beaded inner border, reading: GAB·D·G·SAC·ROM·IM·ET·TRAN·PA·PAR. |
