Reverse description Within an inner circle, a detailed profile view of the Fortress of Christiansborg on the Gold Coast (present-day Ghana) as seen from the sea, with a Danish banner flying above the fortifications. A Latin legend arches above the circle along the rim, and in the exergue below the circle the inscription GUINEA appears together with the date expressed as four separated numerals, identifying this issue as a trade coinage struck for Danish Guinea.
