| Obverse description | Right-facing draped bust of King Frederik IV, laureate effigy depicted in elaborate plate armour with a mantle secured by a shoulder clasp, and a long flowing curled periwig in the baroque court style. The king wears the badge and ribbon of the Order of the Elephant at the breast. The encircling Latin legend is positioned along the coin's periphery, with the date 1709 incorporated at the conclusion of the inscription. The portrait is rendered in high relief with fine engraving consistent with the work of Anton Meybusch. |

| Reverse description | Central device comprising the quartered royal coat of arms of Denmark, Sweden, and Norway, displayed on a square shield surmounted by a royal crown. The shield is encircled by the collar of the Order of the Dannebrog and the collar of the Order of the Elephant, both rendered in fine detail below the shield. The peripheral legend contains the royal motto in Latin. The overall reverse composition reflects the elaborate heraldic style characteristic of late baroque Danish coinage. |
