Obverse description Draped and armored bust of King Frederik III facing right, wearing an open royal crown with elaborate ornamentation, his hair rendered in flowing curls in the Baroque manner. The effigy occupies the central field with fine sculptural relief, showing the king in military dress with a mantle clasp visible at the shoulder. The encircling Latin legend is divided by the date 16-57 positioned at the top of the field flanking the crown. A beaded inner border frames the entire design.

Reverse description Central device composed of four interlaced crowned letter F monograms arranged to form a cross, with the numeral 3 at the center denoting the king's ordinal number. Each arm of the cruciform monogram terminates in a small crown, and the spaces between the arms of the cross are filled with additional crowns in the angles, creating a symmetrical and heraldically rich composition. The entire device is set within a beaded inner border, with the circumferential Latin legend completing the royal titulature around the periphery.
